A complete eye exam at OPHTHALMOLOGY PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS, INC., may last one and one half to two hours, and will include the dilation of your eyes. Dilation opens your pupils to allow the doctor a better view inside your eyes. Dilation will cause your vision to be blurred along with light sensitivity for several hours. Please bring sunglasses with you. Some patients prefer to bring a friend or relative to drive them home after their exam.
Our doctors may order diagnostic tests to further evaluate your eyes. Most of these tests can be performed in our office.
Minor surgical procedures can be performed in our office. Cataract removal and laser procedures are performed at Southwest General Health Center and at The Surgery Center, located just down the street from our office.
We accept most major insurance plans. Please be sure to bring your insurance card(s) with you to every visit. If your plan requires a co-pay, this will be collected at the time of your visit. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover. If you are unsure as to whether our doctors are listed as providers on your plan, or if a referral is required for our services, it is your responsibility to contact your insurance company prior to your appointment at OPHTHALMOLOGY PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS, INC. We will gladly submit your claim to your insurance company for payment.
